How it all began…

Sorrell Jewels, a proudly female and disabled-owned small business, is the passion project of founder Emily Sorrell. With a keen eye for vintage jewellery, Emily specialises in curating and sourcing preloved rings, particularly in sterling silver and 9ct gold, creating a collection that embodies timeless charm and individuality, one ring at a time.

Each and every Sorrell Jewels ring is sourced and selected by Emily’s unique eye. From hunting through antique shops, vintage markets and auctions. Every piece has been carefully chosen for its uniqueness and one-of-a-kind charm.

Running Sorrell Jewels with a chronic illness

Sorrell Jewels' founder, Emily, embarked on her entrepreneurial journey when the constraints of chronic illness prevented her from adhering to a conventional 9-5 work schedule. Diagnosed with P.O.T.S syndrome during her teens, a condition marked by chronic fatigue and pain, Emily has transformed Sorrell Jewels into a thriving business despite her health challenges.

Her growing ring collection serves as a testament to the fact that, even in the face of illness, style and self-expression remain integral aspects of her life. Managing her disability and experimenting with her unique style have become daily pursuits, and Emily is profoundly grateful that her small business not only accommodates these facets but also empowers her to authentically express herself.

β€œWhat I love about Emily's curation is how she has sooo many different pieces of all shapes, sizes, styles and budgets to choose from so there really is something for everyone.”

Behind the brand

Following careful curation, every Sorrell Jewels piece undergoes a restoration journey, where mending, cleaning, and polishing bring forth its original beauty. Rigorous quality checks, including hallmark verification and acid testing, ensure that each ring not only tells a story but stands as a testament to Sorrell Jewels’ commitment to excellence.

In 2020, Emily established Sorrell Jewels, initially gaining recognition as a top seller on Depop before the official Sorrell Jewels website launched in 2021. Beyond the online platform, Sorrell Jewels actively participates in markets, pop-ups, and events across London, with the highlight of 2022 being a remarkable presence inside the iconic Selfridges department store on Oxford Street.
